APP 5 Notice — provided at or before the time of collection
SNS Tech Pty Ltd (ABN: [COMPANY ABN]) ("SNS Tech", "we") collects personal information about you when you register on or use the SNS ClockedIn platform ("the Platform").
What we collect
We collect:
- Identity and contact information: name, email address, phone number, residential address.
- Employment information: job title, department, employment basis (full-time / part-time / casual), start date, pay rate and structure, award classification.
- Payroll and tax information: Tax File Number (TFN), tax treatment code, HELP/STSL debt status, bank account details, superannuation fund and member number.
- Attendance and leave records: clock-in/out times, break periods, leave requests and balances.
- Device and usage information: IP address, device identifiers, browser/app version, and session timestamps (for security and audit).
Why we collect it (primary purpose)
We collect this information to:
- Provide the HR, attendance, and payroll services subscribed to by your employer.
- Comply with obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009, Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992, and ATO Single Touch Payroll (STP) Phase 2 reporting requirements.
- Communicate with you about your account and your employer's use of the Platform.
We will not use your information for any purpose other than those listed without your separate consent.
Who we disclose it to
We disclose your information to:
- Your employer (the Platform subscriber), who manages your employment records within the Platform.
- The Australian Taxation Office (ATO), via STP Phase 2 payroll event submissions.
- Superannuation clearing houses, for employer superannuation contributions.
- Sub-processors who assist in delivering the Platform (see sub-processor list below).
- Regulators or law enforcement, where required by law.
Sub-processors and cross-border disclosure (APP 8)
The following sub-processors may access or store your personal information. Where data is transferred outside Australia, we ensure equivalent privacy protection through contractual safeguards.

We review this list annually and update this notice within 14 days of any sub-processor change.
Consequence of not providing information
Some information (e.g. TFN, bank account) is required for payroll processing under Australian law. You may withhold TFN, but a higher withholding rate will apply. Other information (e.g. address, attendance) is required to operate the HR service your employer has subscribed to.
How to access or correct your information
You have the right under APP 12 and APP 13 to request access to, or correction of, your personal information. Submit requests via:

Requests are responded to within 30 days.
How to object to processing (APP 7.3, Spam Act 2003)
You may object to specific processing purposes (e.g. direct marketing, analytics) at any time by:
- Using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email (one-click, processed immediately).
- Emailing privacy@snsclockedin.com.au with "Objection" in the subject line.
- In-Platform: Settings → Privacy → Communication Preferences.
Complaints
If you have concerns about our handling of your information, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@snsclockedin.com.au. Unresolved complaints may be escalated to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
